Our Philosophy

Synaptricity is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, a.k.a. the "Third Coast".

Synaptricity's mission is to empower the audio production world by bringing to them classic – as well as never before heard or experienced – sounds, effects, and studio capabilities, through our original, intuitive audio products.

At Synaptricity, these are our operating principles:

  • Our products and technical/product support are all about you, the creative artist. Whether you're a musician, manager, producer, recording engineer, or you fulfill any role in the music world, from writing to performance to production, we are here to serve you.

  • Right brain/left brain, creative/analytical, yin/yang, rock/roll balance is essential to attaining the highest level of product evolution, and we strive to maintain the balance of creative and analytical thought in our corporate culture and our relationship with you.

  • Technical follows function. Function follows you. You follow your creative impulses and musical dreams.

  • Functionality should always be user-friendly. Our products are designed to excel in the ease-of-use and intuition departments.

  • We believe you should have the maximum creative and functional control over our products. So we don't hide functionality from you; we put it at your fingertips. We design our user interfaces to allow you to have the greatest control over the inner workings of our products as possible, while still keeping the interface intuitive.

  • Technical excellence is paramount. We strive to develop products that are highly reliable, thoroughly tested in the lab as well as the studio, use the latest techniques in DSP (digital signal processing) and programming theory and practice, and perform at their optimum in terms of memory and CPU resource usage. Fast, efficient, tight code that never breaks is our goal.

  • Creativity trumps any corporate...um, nonsense.

  • Music reigns supreme.

  • If you're coloring your music for a natural effect, Mother Nature should always be consulted, and her ideas used as the standard.

  • If you're coloring your music beyond what Mother Nature intended, it should always sound like something she inadvertently forgot and would approve of anyway. She is your mother, after all.
