"You have an ear for music. And we have an ear for you."

Synaptricity is a high-tech company located on the "Third Coast", a.k.a. Chicago, Illinois.

Synaptricity specializes in the development of real-time audio plug-in software compatible with Digidesign's Pro Tools professional audio recording and mastering application.

Software products in this industry are very much a fusion of the creative and the technical. So we take a "right brain/left brain" approach to our product development. We study the needs of creative professionals in the music industry and create products that are engineered to meet their needs.

That means sitting down with the creative folks and coaxing the "wish

list" out of them first, and then their specific wants and needs. Once we have a solid set of requirements that can be aligned to a single product or product set vision, then it gets interesting.

It's time for us to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty with all the intricate technical aspects of the design. And then engineering and packaging the end product in an easy-to-use, intuitive interface. And finally presenting the first prototype to our users, kicking off the continuous develop-and-test loop that lasts all the way through to final beta test.

In modern music production, the technical and creative sides are both important. You can't have one without the other. At Synaptricity, to our core we are technologists, but we have no

illusions about what is most important here. We believe that the creative side drives the technical - and never the other way around. Technology is a tool used to meet an end.

And yes, technology is certainly something to be respected. And at times it can present many obstacles, and even some boundaries. But technology is something to be leveraged and pushed to its limit.

At Synaptricity, that's what we strive to do: drive technology to its highest potential to bring you the best products out there.

Take a look at what we have to offer. We hope you like it.
