7 - Mono-to-Stereo Effects

Centrifuze can also be used for stereo (mono-to-stereo) effects by using it as a "multi-mono" plug-in (see the Pro Tools user's guide) and tweaking differences in the right and left channels. By treating the two channels similarly, but adding a phase shift, frequency multiplier, etc., between them, you can get some great stereo effects.

Here we show how you can use Centrifuze as a pan modulator, supplying a 180 (in this case - any phase is possible) relationship between L and R channels. Try it with headphones for maximum dizziness.

Here is a sample of wave flange 90 degrees out of phase between the L and R channels. The sound seems to kind of swirl between the L and R channels.
